Please place all garbage in bags.  NO scrap iron or metal.  NO burn barrels or residue.  NO building materials.  The compactor is only built to hold household garbage.

• Glass, Tin Cans & Plastic - Remove caps, covers, and metal rings and discard.  Rinse out.  Flatten if possible.  NO window glass, light bulbs, mirrors, china, or styrofoam.
• Cardboard - Flatten all corrugated cardboard boxes.  Shiny cardboard (ie: pop, beer, food, and detergent cartons go in the recycle container.)
• Aluminum Cans - Accepted without payment.

NO mattresses, couches, stuffed chairs, tables/chairs.  Contact GFL Environmental Inc. at 608-372-7897 or the Monroe County Solid Waste (Landfill) at (608) 269-8563 for disposal.

The Town of Tomah provides Snow Removal for all non county roads.  Our Crews aim to complete clearing the roads as quickly and efficiently as possible

The Town of Tomah along with Monroe County works to maintain and keep our roads in good condition.  This includes filling potholes & keeping trees, brush from interfering with the roadway.  It is the responsibility of residents to keep trees and brush within their property lines from interfering with roadways.
